Ben Swimm is an educator and poet from Madison, Wisconsin. Since 2009, he has lived and worked in Palmer, Alaska, on ancestral lands of the Ahtna and Dena’ina people. Ben holds a BA in Biology from Williams College, an MFA in Poetry from Oregon State University, and an MA in Agricultural Education from Alaska Pacific University. His poems have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Narrative, Copper Nickel, and Camas, among other publications.

In addition to writing, Ben loves teaching, farming, and spending time outdoors, He co-owns and operates Brown Dog Flower Farm, in Palmer, with his partner Mimi and their dog, Maeve.
